HOW DO WE CHOOSE A DATE?

’ll usually mark a tentative session for two weeks after your due date, but we can always shift things around as needed. Every birth and postpartum journey is unique, so we’ll stay flexible! Once your baby arrives, we can easily update the timing to make sure it’s just right for you.

02

HOW OLD SHOULD MY NEWBORN BE FOR THE PHOTO SHOOT?

The ideal time for newborn photos is when your little one is under two weeks old, usually between 7-10 days. That’s when they’re at their sleepiest and most snuggly, making it easy to capture those peaceful, curled-up moments. After two weeks, they become more active and alert. If you’ve missed that early window I wouldn't worry—I love capturing babies at every stage of their first year (and beyond) as their little personalities start to shine.

How long does a newborn session typically last?

An in-home newborn photography session typically lasts around 2 to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and settling the baby, as well as capturing those precious moments in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. The extra time also helps ensure the baby is comfortable and that we can get a variety of natural and beautiful shots.

what's your shooting style?

I’ll take a warm, relaxed yet intentional approach to our shoot together. My photography style is candid and un-posed, but I will position you in a beautifully lit spot and ask you to play, tickle, cuddle or whisper something silly to your loves.

I'll rarely ask you to look at me, and will often quietly walk around while you are busy 'doing you.' I pride myself on creating a quiet, open space for you to connect deeply, while letting me in enough to shoot those magic little moments.

I’m all about capturing the essence of your love and connection in a simple, beautiful way.

will you bring props?

Feeling a little 'awks' is completely normal! but you're in safe hands. During the session, I focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere where you can just be yourselves. I’ll give you simple, natural directions and let moments unfold organically. Before long, it will feel like you’re just spending time with your loved ones, and forget the camera is even there!
